How Dr. Kauffman Plans Treatment
Full mouth reconstruction starts with a comprehensive evaluation. Dr. Kauffman uses CBCT 3D imaging to view bone structure, jaw alignment, and the condition of every tooth in detail, which a standard exam or 2D x-ray cannot provide. From there, he builds a single, all-inclusive treatment plan rather than addressing each tooth separately.
That plan may combine implants, crowns, bridges, and other restorative or cosmetic treatments, sequenced in the order that makes sense for your case. Digital planning tools, including CEREC for same-day restorations, allow Dr. Kauffman to design and place certain components more efficiently than traditional methods. You will understand the full scope of your treatment before it begins, not procedure by procedure as you go.
Sedation Options for More Productive Appointments
FMR often involves multiple procedures, and for many patients, that scope of treatment is the most intimidating part. Sedation addresses that directly.
Dr. Kauffman personally administers IV and conscious sedation, allowing you to remain comfortable while he completes significantly more of your treatment in a single visit than would otherwise be possible. Instead of finding time for many separate appointments, you may be able to complete several steps of your reconstruction at once, then wake up with much of the work already done.
